Blueberry Scale

Has anyone experienced this?

These are brand new blueberry plants bought two months ago from a respectable source and they are covered head to toe in the little critters. I have run up and down one plant trying to squeeze them all off but it takes forever and is pretty unpleasant.

Any other ideas as to how I can protect my plants? They were going great beforehand.

Mine get quite a lot of scale, but I dont worry about it.
Scale particularly affects plants that are stressed. Perhaps the pH of your soil or compost is upsetting the plants.
