My Nana, who was the soul of thrift, would have no hesitation in spending whatever it cost to buy the first wimberries in the maket in Manchester for her first wimberry pie of the season. I loved them as a kid - the pie made your tongue black (like a good red wine!)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

They need really acid soil. No use here where we can't grow an azalea to save our lives!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

The are tiny black berries that grow on a very low-growing shrub - about heather height and in similar situations. It's a vaccinium. The berries are under the leaves so they need searching out.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
