  • Melon

I've a Gala (I think) melon, that I planted a month or so back - potted on from 3" to 5" as roots were showing out the drainage holes - then it seemed to die.

It went all brown and crispy. I'd left it in the pot, not watering or owt and then all of a sudden 2/3 weeks ago it grew... probably about 4/5 inches tall now -small green leaves.

Looked this morning, and half of the lowest green leaf is going brown... don't have any pics but can get one if it helps - any idea what'd cause this? Too cold? Too hot?

It's in a spare room at the mo - on a south facing window sil

Melons dont seem to like too much disturbance so re potting has to be done carefully.

Maybe the plants had too much sunlight through the glass, too hot? Maybe only sun part of the day?. I would have thought that not watering the plant wouldnt have helped either. You have to water regulary and have some good support or the plant will not be happy. Good luck
