I was reading a gardening magazine and can across a piece of advice that makes sence especiallly if you have just planted yours this year!
They say you should cut the runners off your strawberry plants as they take a lot of energy from the main plant
. By cutting the runners off, it will help your main plants get well established in the first year.
I will get my "extra plants" via runners next year ... just have to a little patient now!!!
