I was wondering if someone could tell me the best time to summer prune my apple and pear trees?I've been training them with winter pruning and am happy with the shape,i need to keep them that way now by summer pruning rght?
Summer prune is best done in July.
In cooler Northern areas, you may want to wait until the end of July, while in the warmest Southern parts, early July may be more suitable.
