  • Redcurrants - what do you do with them?

We've got a massive redcurrant bush at the bottom of the garden, which looks almost ready. But what do you do with all the currants? Pies? Jams? Any suggestions very welcome!

Redcurrant jelly, excellent with cold cuts or cheese, can even jazz it up a bit with port!

I used some of mine to make a redcurrant tart yesterday - found the recipe on google - absolutely delicious!! Also made redcurrant jelly last year and that lasted for ages and was really good with all those winter Sunday lunches!

Do a search, either on the Vine, or on Google. I'm sure we've already done this question.

I made strawberry and redcurrant Jam last year, first time making jam and it was lush. Wondering if i can make a redcurrant liquer this year along the same lines as slow gin and blackberry vodka

redcurrants are also wonderful in summer pudding
