  • Can I re-plant blackberry

Hi. I am growing blackberry for the first time, and bought Blackberry Loch Ness which is in a large pot at the moment, but I would like to put it into the ground. but It is flowering and I am not sure if this is a good time to do it, or to wait until the autumn. Any advise welcome

    Blackberries are weeds.
Plant it where you like, whenever you like - just don't let the roots dry out by having it out of the pot in the hot sun for any longer than necessary.
So long as you keep it watered for the first year or two, it'll be fine.

I agree with FB. Prepare your site, pop the plant in the ground and give it a really good watering.

Thank you both for the quick reply, I will get it into the ground when the wind dies down.

Personally, I wouldn't be planting anything during this drought, it's a losing battle trying to keep everything alive

Fruit in pots can be planted out any time of the year. Water and mulch well and there should be no problem.
