  • Kiwi help please

I have a Jenny Kiwi plant in a pot. I bought it at the end of last summer. It was looking healthy until a few days ago - the leaves are going red/brown and crinkly. I've been watering it fairly regularly- its on south facing wall. Have I done something wrong?

Please help, I was so excited about the prospect of kiwis!

    Thanks.

Danii, get it out of the pot and put it in the ground, the Kiwi vine is a forest margin plant and enjoys cool roots with dappled+ sunlight it is a big plant and needs a good rootrun and a fair amount of water, it can grow up to a meter in 2 weeks on all front's!, mulch well(too much is about right) and feed with high potash fertiliser evrey 2 weeks.
Eat well, live well, drink moderately and be happy (hic!)

Aah - cheers ohbeary - I presumed/read in press release that kiwi required full sun so planted my kiwi Jenny on the full sun south side of the shed where it has done so-so. It is looking better this year than ever BECAUSE of the frost damage in May. I think I'll be moving it around the corner!

There's 2 spots I can think of to plant it - both are in full shade until later in the day when it gets some sun, would that be OK?

          Thanks!
