  • What a peach

I am so thrilled that my peach tree survived the frosts and have given me a bumper harvest. It is only 3 years old and there must be 2 dozen of the beauties. I don't think they are ready yet but how do you tell?

The squash from self save are also doing well although I havn't a clue what they are.

I check peaches by the thumb test (slight pressure) and that real peachy smell you get off them

Give the peaches a little squeeze and if they're soft to touch then they should be ready. They'll pick easily too and hopefully taste yummy.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Your peaches look great, mine are still green but i have peach curl so i lost a lot of leaves this year. I will treat it in the autumn. I had over 20 full sized ones last year and its only a dwarf tree!
