  • Mushrooms in my strawberries

Can any identify these mushrooms? They are growing in my Elsanta strawberries, they are in hanging baskets and growing in peat free compost from Sainsburys.
If they are dangerous will I need to get rid of the plants?

Can't identify the mushrooms I'm afraid, but your compost looks very woody and wet, and this will have encouraged the mushrooms.

They're really common with not-completely-rotted compost like that. It's basically bark chippings by the look of it.
Won't harm the strawberries, but I wouldn't eat them myself (I don't trust mushrooms)

The compost isn't usually that wet I noticed them as I was watering. Think I may just get rid and start again then. Its mainly my daughter that eats them and she is only four so I think it may be best not to take the risk.

The strawberries should be fine, but if I were you I would re-pot them.
