  • Apricot Ripening

Do these normally take so long, or is it down to the weather we've had so far? I've noticed there are a lot of posts about tomatoes (like mine too) not ripening, but I've two big fat apricots which are still hard, and green (one is sort of blushing a bit)... There was nothing on the paper that came with the tree about ripening periods, but is there any feed I can give it to give them a bit of a kick up the back side?

Dwarf Aprigold, first year of owning (not sure how old it is) - in a large pot, watered often.. It's about 2' high if that helps any. At the start of it's fruiting period I noticed it had what I believe to be peach leaf curl, which I pulled most of it off - tree seems happy now, with only two fruit on it (it shed a load off)... so not sure if that'd have made any difference!

Feeding won't help them ripen - if anything it will do the reverse. I think it's the horrible weather we've had. My Victoria plums are only just turning colour.
