I have collected 5 bucketfuls of cooking apples over the last week - not picked, just windfalls!

I had my bumper crop last year

Looks like this year we'll have 15 apples on 3 espalier trees and about 30 on the main tree.

Last year we couldn't move for them!!!

There's a huge old apple tree in my garden (rented property) and this year again there are loads of apples (big cookers). Must start making pies!!

We are filling the shelves in the shed with apples (dessert and cookers). It's great - even when you just open the door (to put more in) there's such a lovely cider/appley smell

Off on me jollies next week so we cleared a coxes tree and got 40 lbs of good sized fruit all wrapped and stored.. picking up about 10 lbs of windfall bramleys every week for the past few weeks and still have a good CWT left on the tree so will climb up when i get back and strip that and get them stored for winter use.. Last year we got very few apples so we are well chuffed with this years supply
