My first vine

Hi,

I've just had my first vine delivered. I'm growing outside as I don't have a greenhouse, and I've gone for a Lakemont Seedless variety. I'm going to be growing it against a south east facing brick wall. The soil is poor, but I've raised the bed by about a foot, so I'm hoping it will be ok. Next to the vine, I have some raspberry canes and I will have tomato plants. Will I be able to grow the vine so that all the side branches come above these?

Any help you could give to a first time grower would be much appreciated.

Yep, you can train the vine that little bit higher before encouraging side branches. I think grapes grow quite well on poor soils.
