  • Berry/currant pruning - quick query

Had the last of my raspberries the other week, frost has now killed the canes pretty much.

Autumn fruiting rasps = prune when fruiting is over, correct?

What about currants (have red/white/black) too ?

    thanks!

I prune my raspberries & redcurrants in Feb/March, and blackcurrants as I pick them (I cut the whole fruiting branch off, strip the fruit and replant the branch to make a new plant)

I pruned my blackcurrants after they had fruited just cut back the stems that fruited this year. Might be a bit late now.
Raspberries, autum fruiting cut back to ground after fruiting
Summer ones only cut back stems that fruited this year.
