How well do grapevines do in the north?

You'd need to be careful what you choose, have you got any protection greenhouse, northern wall or similar ? I'm trying some russian vines outside. I also have aone wine typr on the north wall of my house which does well

I have a vine outside and it gets rather rampant every summer and produces a surprising amount of small sweet red grapes - get pips though
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
