  • Raspberry canes shooting/flowering

My autumn flowering raspberry canes are growing new leaf and a few are flowering even after the frosts (-10 here on a few nights).

"You should have cut them all back" I hear you all say.

I did! It's the canes I cut off that are shooting.

Q: Can I cut up the "old" canes and re-plant them for a new autumn crop?

the late spring has caused problems with the primocane raspberries, some strains didnt have enough time to grow and fruit,my polka fruited, but the other one (tulameen,i think) only started to fruit as the leaves began to fall. dont cut them down to the ground til feb,and if you want some early fruit, only cut them down to 2ft....
