  • Frost damaged Citrus

My 2 Lemon Trees have suffered badly from the winter despite being inside a greenhouse. I think they will survive but the outer leaves are badly burned and wilted, and the most recent growth from last summer has died right back.
Not sure if I should cut it back now, removing the damaged leaves and branches or just wait til Spring when hopefully they start putting on new growth again and what's alive and what's dead should be apparent?
    Any experiences / views welcome.

Wait till spring - the damaged parts will give some protection to the rest of it. Can you wrap some fleece (or an old jumper etc) around it as it's only january and we're bound to have more cold weather!

OK I'll leave well alone until Spring, I was caught out, as I suspect were many others by the severity and suddeness of the winter, one of my greenhouses went down to minus 9 inside, so by the time I had lugged the lemon trees into the spare bedroom the damage was done.
Very badly burnt on the outside but I am hopeful they'll pull through, one looks a lot better than the other.
