And bought a bare rooted peach tree!
After my abject failure with an apricot tree last year
I am determined to at least rear a healthy peach plant. Not bothered whether i get any peaches I would just like a few leaves.........is that too much to ask.
My main mentor, Bob Flowerdew reckons planted in a pot and brought indoors for that critical blooming period is the way to go, so this is what I shall do!
Haven't even taken the p[ackaging off it yet, just got it soaking in a bucket in the greenhouse. I think its a red peach which is purportedly self fertile, but shall read the full bumph at planting time.
I will put it in a large container, but not THAT large that I can't lift it inside for the winter period.
If the Victorians could manage to grow peaches......so can I!
