Thought I was growing a gojiberry!

I've had a goji plant that I grew from seed about 3 or 4 years ago - It's flowered for the first time this year - trouble is I don't think it is a goji now.

Goji's are supposed to have a purple tomato like flower and mine has catkins

Anybody want to take a guess at what this is

That doesn't look like anything like any Gojiberry plant that I've ever seen; the bark is wrong, the buds are wrong.
It looks like a decorative weepy willow thing that we have in our garden.

I suspect that your Goji seed didn't germinate/died at a very young age/got pulled out thinking that it was a weed - and another plant seed somehow got into the pot and has been growing instead.

It looks very much like a willow I'm afraid! They easily self seed around the garden....

lovely ... a willow....you can grow a little thicket and coppice it for all sorts of useful things ...much nicer than a goji berry ...horrid bitter little things...........at least the one i ate once was....

Well that explains a lot!
We had a few seedlings growing in a nursery bed at my mums house and I chose the smallest one to plant in my garden as it was the easiest to get out - I wondered why mine had buds on when hers didn't.
