  • Raspberry roots

On my raspberries the roots are spreading out all over the garden bringing up shoots.
We only have a small part of the front garden so we havn't got room for more raspberries.
Is there a way that can stop them?
    Thankyou in advance

Maybe putting the canes in a root bag or slabs dug in round the clump you want to keep would stop them. Other than that you will just have to keep pulling up any shoots that you don't want.

Yes, you can dig all the actual raspberries out. But then = no rasps.

They are called suckers, and it's their way of propagation.

It's usually how people new to rasps get their first canes; dig them out, pot on and offer them around. I'm sure someone will take you up on the offer.
