  • Plum Tree in Pot

I have a plum tree in a pot which is currently covered in blossom and buds. With the weather being so changeable at the moment what should I do if a frost is forecast as I dont want to lose the blossom like I did last year and got no fruit.

    Thanks

Have you got any fleece you could wrap round it?

Or newspaper or tea towels or a tablecloth? Can be fixed in place with clothes pegs! Make a simple frame of canes or sticks, wrap the fleece or whatever around so it doesn't rest on the blossoms and use clothes pegs or similar to hold in place.
Can you tell I occasionally plant my beans out too early

I'm off to get some fleece today. Its going to be difficult as its quite a big tree with quite a widespread of branches. Got some canes at home so will set something up in the pot just in case so that I'm not rushing round at the last minute if we do get a forecast for frost.
