I know that generally strawberries are hardy, but today I planted out some bareroot strawberry runners into pots. They don't have any leaves on them yet, though I can see them starting to form. Temperature for tonight is predicted to be 3C so I'm wondering if perhaps I should bring them in overnight??

Strawberries will be fine - like some other plants, a cold snap will actually be beneficial to the fruit forming. I was clearing out some old strawberry bags on sunday that have been piled up outside my polytunnel for well over a year, and there are still runners growing on them - so even this winters weather, 100% neglect and having a pile of other growbags dumped on top of them won't stop them !!Rat
