I'm buying a couple of plum trees as a gift for my bro-in-law and have a choice of Victoria, Opal, Czar or Damson? He lives in Fermoy in County Cork. The trees will probably be sited in a walled garden alongside 6 existing apple trees with a further 6 being planted in the autumn. Anyone got any idea?

I would go for Opal, its similar to Victoria but tastes a bit better, and isnt as bad with silverleaf so is easer to look afterLiving off grid and growing my own food in Bulgaria..... -

I bought an Opal but its only little so dont think we will get any plums this year, cant comment about what its like.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
