I have about 6 five year old plants and found that the fruit that falls to ground produce seedling all the time like weeds.

Lots of places sell seeds like Julian Graves for £0.99p a packet or just buy some dried fruit from places like Tesco. Eat the dried fruit and plant the odd one.

I have found that you do not need to freeze the seed before planting.

    Very easy to grow.

Taste's like a mix between prunes and fig to me.

    Love these little buggers.

I understand that you can have two types, one from Tibet and one from Mongolia. The ones from Mongolia are bitter than the ones from Tibet.
How you tell the difference, who knows, other than taste.

My Goji's are just starting to flower, a bit late this year.

Lots of small flowers are growing, so it looks like another bumper crop.

My neighbour gave me 3 he's grown from seed. They are all in their individual little pots and standing about 8" high. It'll be a year or so before I get anything from them but hey, they were free!

Dont judge a plant by it's pot.

What do you classify as big, greasyfire? Mine are about 3 foot tall and 3 foot wide - with prickles! Hence I'm using them as a hedge.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Greasyfire they are like a very large gooseberry bush if that helps! Not on a tree scale at all - more hedge.

Mine are about 3 feet high.

They like a good trim every year.

They are not that bushy as a plant and do not look that nice this time of year with no leaves.

I have just planted some after extracting the seeds from some I bought from the supermarket.

There is a really good blog with photos of every step here.
Plants from seed of sun-dried goji berries. Possible?
