  • Peach tree in pot in greenhouse?

I bought a bare rooted tree from Aldi earlier in the year and potted it up into a large pot. It's been stood in the end of the greenhouse ever since and the foliage is getting close to the glass.
I nipped a few shoots off and was surprised at the smell of marzipan/cyanide given off?

Can any of you knowledgeable types advise whether it would be best kept in the greenhouse, where I would need to 'prune' it quite regularily to keep it within bounds, or put outside for the summer and let it do its own thing?

Bearing in mind your location, I would have thought it would be OK outside for the Summer in a sheltered location.

I always move mine out in May once the risk of leaf curl has passed, then move it back under cover in Nov/Dec. I have about 20 peaches this year which is 14 more than last year so am really pleased.
