    It put out leaves- and has buds on for next year, it just didn't put on any growth at all. It's only about 18", and if anything it shrank slightly over the summer, as a few of the shoot tips died back. It might not be getting enough light- it's on the side of the shed that's facing sort of East-North-East. I don't really have anywhere else suitable to put it, short of building a pergola for it.

      This year it actually had some flowers and I was hoping it may bear fruit but all the little fruitlets dropped off. Not sure if they're really happy this far north.
      Same here in Bournemouth but it is still an attractive climbing plant so hopefully it will fruit next year as a bonus.
