  • Moving strawbs to a new bed

In the middle of the lottie there's a large hexagonal bed that we filled with new runners last year. The bed is just too big and difficult to net and pick so after they've finished fruiting I'd like to lift them and replant in 2 new smaller beds divided by a path.

Will they bounce back? I've moved strawbs before and they've been fine but just wanted to check if this was infact OK.

You've done it before and it worked, so why not do it again? How big is the bed?

they will settle in no problem. Just firm them well in and give them a scoot of water

soak them before lifting and take most of the foliage off,to reduce the strain of being uprooted..they will be fine.

Is this the best time to move them? I've been growing strawbs in pots and have loads of rooted runners as well ready to move them up to the lottie. Should I move them now or wait a bit?
