I've got fantastic plums

Is it just me? I can't believe the amount of plums I have this year. In 6 years in this house I've never had a crop like this year. 2 of the trees have had branches simply snap off with the weight of fruit, never seen anything like it.
My veggies have been a touch disappointing this year it must be said, but plums? At a conservative estimate I reckon to have about 20lb of plums on the floor already, that the wasps are getting stuck into. Me and Mme P harvested about 10lb yesterday, and there must be at least 10 times that still on the trees.
If anyone happens to be passing, please pop in and take some!!

I've been scrumping plums at work [we do pay for stuff scrumped and only scrump when the gardens team tell us there are things to be scrumped] for 3 weeks now; the Opal plums were absolutely mouthwatering and the cherry plums were a little sharper but all went into a couple of brews of wine.....and yesterday we went to Calke Abbey and I scrumped a few off a tree there and sucked on them when we were walked around.

Can't wait for my plum trees to become harvestable....total yummyness

Yes, plum trees round here, in gardens, and wild ones, seem to have a great number of fruit this year. Two of my customers have Cherry trees, and they are so full even the birds aren't eating them all. Bumper year for Wasps and Hornets too, though.

it looks like its going to be a great year up here for plums,usually they get no sun,so no taste,this year we are getting more sunlight,at last,but the plums/greengage are loving it..

Our plum tree is full too. they're majories seedling and not ready till sept time but.....seeing as how the blackberries are ripening now I think they'll be a tad earlier this year

My tree is fully laden too and a branch has snapped under the weight. What should I do with the snapped branch? It's still connected to the tree, so I have left it for now to nourish the plums that are still ripening. After harvesting I presume I need to repair the damage. Any advice?
