Growing Strawberries late in the season

Hi

Am I to late in the season to plant a half raised bed full of strawberries, or would it be best to wait to next year? I know i wont get fruit this year but I dont want the winter rotting it all away.

Strawbs are currently throwing out runners so no, it's not too late.

hi you can buy runners right up until oct so you are not too late
