Don't know why but I thought tulameen was an autumn fruiting variety. However as you have been told it is a floricane then it will give fruit on this years growth next year. So leave well alone and prune next year after you have harvested the fruit, and only prune the canes that are growing now and leave the new canes that will appear next year for the following years harvest.
