Found a hill near me full of winberries, literally fields of them....
i made a pie and put the rest in a smoothie but has anyone done anything else with them before?
they were very ripe today so i will pop down a bit earlier next year and hopefully get bucket loads

if your up here next year, try rossendale where i live. i got mine from a secret location, however theres a huge hill named after the berry, that might be a bit of a hint as to what you'll find there!!

never thought of winberry muffins, ive been baking bread for a while now and they would make a nice addition

Whinberry actually Whimberries Also known as bilberries, whortleberries. We used to pick them from the moors when we were children in Devon.

That's because winberries are not wineberries , but you can make wine from winberries.

That hasn't helped. The plant in your link is Vaccinium myrtillus (looks like a sloe) - but the one I was looking at looks like a raspberry

Correct! Winberries are Vaccinium myrtillus. In real life they're nothing like sloes. Little bushy plants with little squishy berries on them.
