as we have rehomed our chickens,we now have a paved area approx 3 x5yds,i intend to put a clear roof on the area and close in th sides with plastic sheeting, given where i am and the protection the area would have, what hothouse/unusual fruits could anybody reccomend?,i have one potted peach(in training) so far,and possibly move my brown turkey fig into there (height inside is 6-7ft,sloping roof)

Brown turkey figs dont need to be in a hothouse, and I believe neither do peaches, Buffs.

I have been looking around many remodelled Victorian kitchen gardens lately, and pineapples plus grapes and exotic flowers seem to be a favourite....

i need to keep the peach out of the worst of the usual rainfall, after the spring rain i can put it outside for the summer rains,i might go for citrus fruits, maybe a vine, but would like to get something that can take the cold of winter, but needs the extra heat of a greenhouse/fruithouse,maybe passionfruit,i have all winter to decide so no rush,as for the fig,we have them on the plant now, but they wont ripen in this cold weather, under cover they might have a chance, last years were really tasty..
