citrus plant

i got this citrus plant bought for my birthday last april i repotted it to a bigger pot and it as lived on the spare bedroom window cill . what can the fruit be used for i tasted one and it was very sharp so would they be ok for marmalade or jam i had to remove a few because of the weight

That looks lovely and healthy. Not sure what you could do with the fruit unless you candy them or make a marmalade type preserve with them as it's so bitter/tart.

I was also given a citrus tree for my birthday last summer. It is a Calamondin - Not sure if this is the same as yours? ( The fruit on your pic looks bigger than mine!)

mines a calamondin too , the size of the fruit could be down to me getting giddy with the citrus baby bio lol... thanks for posting the link

I've made marmalade from calamondin and it was gorgeous - I just googled a recipe. I read somewhere that the peel is sweeter and you can eat the whole fruit so you get the sweet of the peel and sour of the fruit. Never tried it though. Nice in cookinig.

The best use for calamondins is when they are green just turning orange , use them on food instead of lemon, ideal for on fish and chicken instead of salt

Great looking plant. Are those oranges or whatever they are edible in their raw state or quite sour? It's a lovely plant, what species / variety is it?
