        free fruit bushes.......

        blackcurrents
        red currents / white currents..
        gooseberrys

The best and free plants on the allotment.....
Are the ones you take cuttings from mature plants in the autumn
Use a Secateurs take cuttings off the plant approx 10- 16 inches off the strongest new growth.
Using the cut end lightly split the end with a knife plant in nursery bed over the winter
Come spring / Summer check for roots - re pot or move to a new area..

Stunning plants worth approx £4.99 plus from garden centres .......all for free.....
        do a little every day...
keep it organic and taste and see the difference..

Hope you have better luck than i did with 99p store plants: bought 2 raspberries, a blackcurrant, a redcurrant, a blueberry and a gooseberry. I think all of them, with the possible exception of the currants, were dead sticks (one of the raspberry canes had no roots- literally just a stick in compost)
If anything actually starts producing leaves in spring I'll buy a lottery ticket.

Am hoping for better results from my Wilko blackcurrant... at least it has green leaves...

the ones i bought are very healthy looking and have growth did you give the ones you bought a visual inspection as most come in a tall cardboard wrapper i took the ones i bought out and checked to see if they were signs of life (which there was ) a lot of the ones i saw in poundland looked more like firewood
