  • Wilkinsons White Strawberries

I've seen a couple of people on here have picked these up

There are several varieties of white strawberry, but there isn't a variety listed on the packet. It could be the "pineberry", which has is a strawberry that tastes of pineapple, but i could equally be one of the other varieties. Does anyone know for definite which variety they are?

From info I've read, the white strawberries are all alpine strawberries, so will be quite small. The photo on the packet makes them look like big strawberries .....

Has anyone grown them in previous years? Any suggestions on the best way to grow these? I have normal red strawberries in the ground. I could make some ground space for the white ones, or I could use pots etc .....

Email Wilko head office, and they'll tell you. I did it last year with their kiwi plants. Why they don't just put the variety on the pack I don't know.

          hi binley

mine is in a 3litre pot in the conservatory in MPC at the moment. It's starting to live up to its reputation as a triffid.
