I got some from Lidl today, never grown them before. This may seem like a daft question but the plants have flowers on, this seems early, do I leave them on?

I got a tray of 6 plants (Elsanta) from Aldi today for £2.99. They have flowers on.

Actually went into Aldi to get cauliflower plants but the trays were all jumbled up and stacked higher than my head so I couldn't be bothered to move all the heavy trays and just left with the strawberries (and some shopping!).

        Will try again another day.

My bro' picked up a tray of six from Lidl for me and got a tray of six for himself. Apparently they were charging £3.50 per tray or two trays for £6.00
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive

That's right Pa, £2.99 from Aldi or £3.50 from Lidl........It's obviously a ploy to get you to buy 2 sets for £6.

You need to start writing notes to yourself VC like what I do. Then I forget the notes. Double whammy.

I put the crowns in last evening, so guess what was the first thing I did this morning? (well, after I switched on the kettle). Yep, checked on the strawberries which I thought might have flopped, but not a bit of it. They're still upright and look really healthy. Out with torch tonight after dark on slug patrol.

Good idea, Flo, a note! Now where is that pen?
Maybe I'll call in today, just in case....

And the good news is .. I've bought 6 of each variety of strawberry in LIDL. Now to find space for 24 plants! Not much left in the fruit bush line - didn't want any anyway - so there!

Hi, just an update on the 30 crowns I bought earlier in the year. I planted them in 3 rows of 10 close together so they would fit under a cloche I have. They are doing great, some even have flowers coming. Just wondering what effect it would have if I lifted them and transplanted them? Would it be a no-no at this stage of the year? Ideally I wanted them as edging along this raised bed. As they were dormant crowns (I assume from last summer) would it be ok to let them fruit or should I nip out the flowers? Thanks a lot for any advise.
