Raspberry 'Glen Ample' not growing

From my experience, once they wake up ie a few full leaves, they then respond well to a varied dose of miracle grow, but dont like it on thier leaves, the nitrogen seems to scorch

I planted 6 each of glen ample (I think! I'd have to go outside to check and it's late) and Joan j in november. The glen amples are all growing well but 2 of the Joan j look dead. I bought them from one of the better regarded online places too. Sometimes it's just luck - they were bought at the same time, same place and planted same day in a row. I figure the 4 surviving Joan j will give me a couple of replacement plants in a year or two.
