  • How to tell the age of a blueberry bush?

I ordered some blueberry bushes online, but have no information regarding their age.

Is there a way to correlate size with age? Or if not, is there any other way to estimate the approximate age of the plant?

Typically, soft fruit bushes are sold as either:

One year old are about 15-30cm high with a few short side branches.

Two year old are about 40-60cm high, usually with three to six side branches of 15-30cm. They will often show a pruning cut just above the point where the branches join with the stem.

Two years olds are usually 2x the price, but they are usually ready to fruit in their first year (if the soil is good quality and they are well cared for).
