I noticed some brown / yellowish spots on my kumquat's leaves yesterday. The scariest thing is only 2-3 hours later the spots had grown 2-5 times in size, and spread to more leaves.
I have removed the most badly affected leaves, but I'm worried this might progress and force me to remove all the old leaves (there are young leaves developing too and they look healthy).
Here is a picture of some of the removed leaves:
The kumquat is in a blowaway greenhouse and has been there since mid February. I take care not to let it go over ~32C.
I'm wondering what might have caused this unexpected, quickly progressing disease? Could it be too much sunlight? I have recently lined the back of the greenhouse with mylar to increase the light levels.
