Strawberries in the Shade

Hi all,

I have a few strawberry plants in hanging baskets and the fruit are being shaded by the leaves is it ok to cut these leaves back and let the fruit come out of the shade so to speak

They will be fine, no need to cut any leaves off.

Cutting off large numbers of leaves unnecessarily will weaken the plant (any plant - not just strawberries), which may result in the plant being less able to fruit well or less able to continue growing normally.
