Hello all
last year I grew cape gooseberry but got few fruits. I was then given some ground cheery seeds which I found when I ogogled were the same as a cape gooseberry. I sowed them this year. However the cape gooseberry seeds from last year grew in to sturdy plants, which were almost furry in texture. This year the ground cherry seeds have developed into smooth stemmed and smooth leaved plants similar to a tomatillo plant which I grow every year.
My question is...can you get both furry type and smooth leaved cape gooseberrys? Or have I infact just grown a load of tomatillos!
Yes I know all will be revealed once the fruits develop but Im too imapatient! Plus if they are in fact tomatillos I will have way too many and theefore can sell them at the school garden group fair!
