  • Disappearing figs

I have a pot grown fig tree (albeit a small one) which had 11 small figs on it. Over the past week 3 have3 disappeared. They have been cleanly taken off the branch, there are no signs of them having dropped off and no signs of any bits of fig laying nearby.

Can birds remove figs from a tree? Would it be a fox?

Can anybody come up with an answer to my problem, PLEASE.

Hello Christine and welcome to the Forum. Could you put your location onto your profile please as often this can be relevant to the advice that you will receive here.
You may like to see this http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...fig_66063.html. I know its doesn't answer your specific question but it may be helpful.
Figs that fall from my fruit tree are hoovered up by the dogs - they don't seem to care how unripe they are!

      Squirrels used to take ours.
Stupid creatures would pull a fig off, run up a nearby tree, taste the fig, find it was unripe, drop it and come back down for another one. Stripped the plant despite me lobbing shoes out the window at it.
