hi i have just moved and have 2 cherry trees they need pruning but have lots of fruit on them at the moment can anyone tell me if it is right to prune them after the fruit is finished thank you

Good pruning merely follows some general principles - and I sometimes "break the rules" when my experiences suggest that an unusual pruning technique would get the result I want; each tree needs assessing individually.
A few picture would help, along with a summary of with what you want them to become, relative to what they are now..Comment
