i have about a 3m square patch of sort of wild raspberris. it is very overgrown and very weedy. i have other plans for that space so i want to get rid of them all. however i would like to save quite a few of them and create a permant bed. so when is the best time to cut them back, move them and a rough idea of spacings. i belive they are summer fruiting raspberries but i dont get much fruit from them due to the large amount of weeds

Raspberries, left to run wild, can deteriorate in size of fruit, or flavour, so pick out the best plants when they are fruiting and mark them in some way. Then you'll know which ones to save and move and those to eliminate.
