    most photos on the internet of cherry plum trees seem to show green leaves - all the ones round here have purple leaves like one of the photos in the link that veggiechicken gave
    the cherry plum trees here are from 15ft to 30ft tall - no idea what that is in metres tho

      First job is to clear the ivy then, and give the poor tree a chance.
