I noticed this plant on my way to work and just wondered what it was...




And more importantly... is it edible?

Looks like mahonia - Oregon grape!

I agree with VVG and if it is Oregon Grape it is edible. BUT you need to be absolutely sure before eating it! Don't take our word for it based on a couple of photos.

First thought was Berberis, but now agree with the others (cos of the leaves) - Mahonia
