    Hi guys
Bought one of these at the weekend but seem to be able to find out little information. Do any of you have worcesterberries and know what conditions etc that they like?
    Thanks

      worcesterberry

      Hi Mel

I bought a worcesterberry years ago, it was wicked and lovingly named the swear bush, cos you did an awful lot of swearing when picking the fruit! The fruit hung on the bush well and tasted a lot like blueberries. Unfortunately I moved and the bush died when I transplanted it. It didn't get mildew and sawfly seemed to leave it alone cos of the evil spines. I bought a jostaberry cos I couldn't find a worcester - so far all its done is been a holiday camp for pests. I've decided to track down another swear bush cos I loved it so much. I hope this helps.

I had a worcesterberry for fifteen years, then it died. I have no idea why it expired, as it had produced quite heavily and looked quite healthy until its last leaf fall. The following spring it produced no leaves and, when I scraped the bark at ground level found it to be Kaput.
