  • Anyone know what this is?



    Anyone know what this is it is growing on the base of my rasberry bushes. It is cream soft and has black speckles throughout. This is growing on a number of the rasberry bushes. should I just cut them all down and burn?

    Is it aphids? maybe try spraying it?

        I THINK its a spider nest,wipe it off with a tissue & check the wood is not damaged

              Just spray it off with some soapy water. It shouldn't affect the raspberry canes, whatever it is!

                      Cheers everyone, I have decided to get rid of all the rasps. I will be cutting them down and burning the lot. I have also ordered new rasp canes, they will be delivered around October/ November. Gives me time to prepare a new patch in the allotment for them complete with cage etc.

                              Cutting them dwn due to a strange insectoidish blob is well extreme.
                              Ask someone to remove it for you.
