was on a fruit foraging expedition a few years ago in a forest that was situated behind our hotel were i worked as a chef, i came across a very sparcly cropping red currant bush, well more like spindly twigs growing in the undergrowth, the berries were eye twitchingly tangy, i saved and sowed a few seeds , really pleased with the resulting seedling, berries are of normish size, flavour is nice and zesty, strings are smaller than the types you buy in garden centres, but raising it from a seedling its going to have its own special place
