    never had this happen before! It's best to remove and flowers I am guessing? The runner seems very, very healthy right now with leaves as big as the parent plant!

    It's quite normal. Take any flowers and even runners off it will help to build the plant up for next year.

          Have had a few doing this on the first runners I took. I left one out of curiosity
